Great faith is like sitting on a chair. We don’t think twice before we sit down on a couch, on a stool, a bench or even a wobbly plastic chair. We trust a few screws in the legs of a chair to hold our weight every time we sit down. That trust is called great faith because we trust that seat to do exactly what it’s supposed to do.
You know, that kind of trust is exactly what God wants in your relationship with Him. Spiritually speaking, great faith is believing and expecting that God will do exactly what He said He would do. That kind of confidence comes by revelation of the truth and by renewing your mind to God’s word.
In the New Testament, there were only two people who Jesus directly said had great faith; a Centurion (Matthew 8: 10) and a Canaanite woman (Matthew 15:28).
