His whole day was good for him and good for America, … in one day he was more of a president than we have had in eight years.

Trump began his week of public handwringing on the issue by vowing last Monday that he was “not flip-flopping” on immigration, but that he was looking to “come up with a fair but firm process.”

  1. I love what he said about making this country patriotic again, though for some that isn’t a popular sentiment. When you look to future generations do you see them growing up with the same patriotism we share, or our forefathers? Though we could have, it never occurred to most of us to defile the US flag or refuse to say the Pledge of Allegiance. Maybe I have rose-colored glasses on…

  2. Lorra, the speech he made before the vets today(?) he addressed each of the issues you are talking about, and even said he would put patriotism and the pledge back in our schools, … but you are right, those of us who had the good fortune of being raised with values and respect, may actually not be wearing rose-colored glasses, but simply have that in our hearts, and now we see the generations which have been robbed of values and respect, robbed of patriotism, by the evolving globalists, They are the ones who are the present day activists, thugs, and they are the ones who are going to resist patriotism the most. but once the pride of being an American sinks into their hearts and minds, we will see real social change with fairness for everyone. Guess you and I are looking through the same glasses, but I am an optimistic old man. Hope we make it.. great posts you have and follow-up comments are great and refreshing. Thanks
