British study of healthy smokers reveals what we knew

What a smoker needs to know, is that we do have a higher risk factor, Nonetheless, because you smoke does not mean you will die! Chances are you might not. But wouldn’t you rather remove the higher risk factor, and eliminate that or at least reduce your chance? There are too many other things out there that are just as deadly. Stop smoking, and move on to eliminating something else that is killing you; like life itself.

What we knew, as serious students of medicine and toxicology, is that a toxin has a threshold for causing injury and the subject has a profile of variable susceptibility that changes the threshold.

Clearly those two factors interact and result in an expression of the toxic effects that varies.

  1. I am smoking since 1965. It’s better if a person does not smoke. Considering what I have been through in my lifetime with people in the jungles of southeast asia trying to shoot me, or on the streets, trying to shoot me during my career, then the exhaust of cars, trucks, airplanes, buses, or aggrevation of having to be subjected to Obama death panels, or a lunatic suicide jockey shouting “L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L!!!!!!!!” and dtonating himself or herself, you know what, I will continue to fill three ashtrays every day until I croak, which, will, eventually happen to everyone.., anyway.
PS: I also drink 16 cups of espresso each and every day, plus, I enjoy a few beers, bourbon, and moonshine. I blog from 4:00am to 9:00pm each and every day. Yes, I must be nuts, and no, I do not fear death and never did.

I been a pipe smoker since 1964 [no cigarettes because they stink], medium leaf tobacco straight from the plant no chemicals or additives, finish my first mug of coffee by 4 AM and light my pipe. I stopped drinking 15 years ago never touch a drop now but only because it’s too expensive. I like to laugh a lot, and find myself funny enough to laugh at more even than I find politicians, and are they funny, ooh boy?. Healthy at 75, blood pressure of a young man, says my personal physician, drink seven liters of milk a week every week, love barbeque meat with lots of fat, weigh 72 kg, no cholesterol, no aches, pains or need to die, but ready with our Creator when my time comes.
