Trump Issues Executive Order Calling for Local Control of K-12
“For too long the government has imposed its will on state and local governments. The result has been education that spends more and achieves far, far, far less.  The time has come to empower teachers and parents to make the decisions that help their students achieve success,” Mr. Trump said. “My administration has been working to reverse this federal power grab and give power back to families cities [and] states — give power back to localities.”
Those were the words President Donald Trump spoke on April 26, 2017, upon signing his Executive Order to pull the federal government out of manipulating the thoughts of children attending compulsory public school.  FYI, for over 100 years Marxists have been in charge of designing curricula to condition students attending our public schools to be eager to destroy capitalism when they grew up. Their current fascination with socialism without knowing anything about it is the result.
Surprised?  As a historian, I have a habit of digging deep into history to find out what was going on when certain events happened.  Since the health care system is so central to American culture, my research led me to the history of how compulsory schooling was created in the late 1800s as a partnership between big business and Marxists, a partnership that is central to running The Swamp in Washington today, a partnership that dictates what your children are taught in public schools  and what you and your family think about in your living room. This is the same unholy alliance that also controls our health care system.
Two History Lessons They Don’t Teach in Government-Controlled Classrooms
– The City on the Hill
Our Founding Fathers, the Puritans who came over on glorified rowboats to tame a wilderness, were a hardy lot with deeply religious beliefs burning in their hearts.  They wanted to create a new kind of society never tried before that supported all the goodness they prayed about.
They were middle-class merchants from England.  They believed they had a covenant with God who had blessed them with the ability to run their own lives and achieve great things.  This belief is central to our American culture and unique in the world.  While the colonies were, indeed, commercial ventures being set up to plunder the natural wealth of the New World, they were also committed to creating communities that reflected Puritan values, which included prosperity for those who worked for it.  People were expected to live virtuous lives with love and charity for all, and to create governments that encouraged prosperity and kindness. Winthrop and his fellow colonists did not tolerate sloth and made every effort to help the poor improve themselves.
In fact, just before setting sail from England in 1630, John Winthrop, head of this massive group, said in his now famous sermon that God had expected them to succeed and be like a “city on the hill” that the whole world would see and try to emulate.
Their values included a system based on:
1. Natural Law
2. Virtue and morality based on Protestant Christianity,
3. Free-market capitalism
4. The sanctity of private property.
Consequently, the unique culture of our country is based on the ideas that we were blessed by God, were taught to believe in the virtues of hard work, celebrate prosperity, value ownership of private property, offer charity when genuinely needed and distain laziness.  In short, Americans from earliest times have believed we were given much by God and much was and is expected of us. In more modern times, these values are the basis of what is called “American Exceptionalism”.
It is important to note also that a decade before Winthrop preached his City on the Hill sermon, an experiment with what is now known as Socialism was tried and rejected.  Gov. William Bradford, head of the Plymouth Colony founded in 1620 at Plymouth, Mass, had already tried to establish a Socialist system where everyone owned nothing and worked for the common good.  The idea had failed miserably because people resented assigned work with no personal benefit. As a result, within two years, the colony was on the verge of literally starving to death. Consequently, Bradford gave property to each colonist and told them they were responsible for their own needs.  It was the resulting abundant crop that year that prompted our American holiday Thanksgiving.   Socialism had failed utterly!
– Sacred Fire of Liberty
For the next 150 years, the American Colonies thrived.  The idea that we were special was openly discussed by our Founding Fathers who spoke of the Sacred Fire of Liberty as the driving force behind the Revolution.  The birth of America was ordained by God.
“The preservation of the sacred fire of liberty, and the destiny of the republican model of government, are justly considered deeply, perhaps as finally, staked on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people.”
–George Washington, First Inaugural Address, 1789
[America was:] “Trusted with the destinies of this solitary republic of the world, the only monument of human rights, and the sole depository of the sacred fire of freedom and self-government, from hence it is to be lighted up in other regions of the earth, if other areas of the earth shall ever become susceptible of its benign influence.”                                                                                                                                                   –Thomas Jefferson, 1809
“In a 2015 book entitled Exceptional: Why the World Needs a Powerful America, former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney sets out and argues the case for American Exceptionalism, and concludes:
“We are, as Lincoln said, ‘the last, best hope of earth.’ We are not just one more nation, one more same entity on the world stage. We have been essential to the preservation and progress of freedom, and those who lead us in the years ahead must remind us, as Roosevelt, Kennedy, and Reagan did, of the unique role we play. Neither they nor we should ever forget that we are, in fact, exceptional.”
Why Marxists and Captains of Industry Joined Forces To Create “Rude Zombie Citizens”
At the end of the Civil War, thanks to the genius of enterprising individuals, railroads, great financial empires, steel mills and sundry other monuments to the Industrial Age were born.   The self-made men who gave birth to these magnificent achievements looked to Prussia to see what else they could achieve.  After all, Prussia was the engine of the Industrial Age.  Among the many things they came away with was to develop a compulsory school system along the lines the Prussians had created that was eventually adopted throughout the industrialized world.
Heretofore, Prussia had been the leading part of fragmented German fiefdoms.  Its class system was based on wealthy, titled and politically powerful people trying to figure out how to organize an uneducated population that had, in an earlier age, been considered serfs with no power.  After a disastrous war against Napoleon, where the Prussian army was not up to the task, Prussian leadership decided to organize a centrally-controlled compulsory school system to meet the needs of a growing nation.  These goals were to create (P 132):
1. Obedient soldiers to the army
2. Obedient workers for mines, factories, and farms
3. Well-subordinated civil servants, trained in their functions
4. Well-subordinated clerks for industry
5. Citizens who thought alike on mass issues
6. National uniformity in thought, word, and deed
The Prussian leadership was already schooled in the psychological training procedures drawn from their knowledge of animal husbandry and equestrian training in addition to past military experience.
Americans had a different situation.   America was always a highly literate society.
The literacy rates during the colonial period and the early history of the United States indicate that literacy was steadily growing during that time period to rather high levels. Between 1650 and 1795, for example, male literacy rates are estimated to have risen from 60 to 90 percent. By 1840, literacy was estimated to be between 91 and 97 percent. There is no evidence that there was an undersupply of schools or a lack of interest in education in the United States. (Richman 38-9) The 1828 Journal of Education, for example, reports that “our population of 12,000,000, for the education of which, we have 50 colleges, besides several times the number of well-endowed academies, leaving primary schools out of the account. For meeting the intellectual needs of this 12,000,000, we have about 600 newspapers and periodical journals.” Compare that with Poland, who at the time had a population of 20 million, yet only 15 newspapers.
When Carl Marx came along in the 1840s, it was during a time when there were rapid changes fueling what we now call the Industrial Age. While amazing inventions were turning ordinary men into tycoons, the masses, seeing others with great wealth, were vulnerable to Marx’s steady stream of hatred of rich people and the still feudal system of government.  He divided the world into two camps – the haves and the have not’s.  The rich guys on the hill got that way, according to Marx, because they took advantage of the poor guys – the have not’s.  His writings fed on the envy and the low self-esteem of the have nots and his remedy was to encourage a worldwide workers’ revolt to take away the wealth of the rich guys and destroy the feudal government that they ran.  The workers’ revolt never came but 24 Marxist followers of Sigmund Freud organized a think tank in the 1920s called the Frankfort School.  It was organized to develop mind control techniques to brainwash people into wanting to destroy western civilization, a topic to be covered in detail in an upcoming article.
While Marxism might be attractive in countries that had no real government and where the people were still illiterate serfs, here in America, when the Industrial Age hit us (particularly after the Civil War) we had a different situation.  Our culture was based on what John Winthrop outlined in his 1630 “City on the Hill” sermon.  We were a nation of well-educated self-determined people happily running our own lives.
The public school system we have now took root around the turn of the 20th Century.   In 1903, industrialist John D. Rockefeller founded the General Education Board, which became the leading philanthropy which ultimately dictated how public schools were and are still run.  Many captains of industry like Rockefeller looking to gain control of an independent-thinking population1 supported the idea of building a nationwide compulsory public school system.  The richest man in the world, John D. Rockefeller, who ended up putting a vast fortune into building the public school system, knew what he and his industrialist colleagues didn’t want….

I want a nation of workers.
Rev. Frederick T. Gates, Business Advisor to John D. Rockefeller Sr., 1913 [1] expanded upon  Rockefeller’s goals.
“In our dream, we have limitless resources, and the people yield themselves with perfect docility to our molding hand.  The present educational conventions fade from our minds; and, unhampered by tradition, we work our own good will upon a grateful and responsive rural folk.  We shall not try to make these people or any of their children into philosophers or men of learning or of science.  We are not to raise up among them authors, orators, poets, or men of letters.  We shall not search for embryo great artists, painters, musicians.  Nor will we cherish even the humbler ambition to raise up from among them lawyers, doctors, preachers, statesmen, of whom we now have ample supply.”
The General Education Board was not interested in encouraging critical thinking. Rather, its focus was on organizing children and creating reliable, predictable, obedient citizens.  As award-winning New York City teacher of the year John Taylor Gatto puts it, “school was looked upon from the first part of the 20th Century as a branch of industry and a tool of governance.”   The Rockefellers, along with other financial elites like Carnegie and Vanderbilt, have been able to mold society by funding and pushing compulsory state schooling for the masses.

While I was doing research for this article, I learned that throughout the creation and running of our government-controlled compulsory school system, every Tom, Dick, and Harry claiming to be an expert promoted ideas, mostly Marxist, and utilized all manner of psychological techniques in order to basically brainwash students into conformist thinking.  To promote critical thinking and the desire to be a creative, self-directed individual was to be discouraged at all costs.  In addition, there is a constant need to diminish the values of religious teachings, the existence of God and the authority of parents, as they interfere with the authority of school officials to program their students.  In short, as we see in the news every day, personal values, civilized behavior, and independent thought are shunned in favor of emotional outbursts designed to cut off thinking or allowing unapproved non-group ideas to be heard.
Of the many quotes I read from these so-called experts, many have no respect for the authority or values of parents. The most egregious one I ran across was the one Harvard psychiatrist, Chester M. Pierce provided at his keynote address at the 1973 Childhood International Education Seminar in Colorado:
Every child in America entering school at the age of five is mentally ill because he comes to school with certain allegiances to our founding fathers, toward our elected officials, toward his parents, toward a belief in a supernatural being, and toward the sovereignty of this nation as a separate entity.  It’s up to you as teachers to make all these sick children well by creating the international child of the future. Even more chilling is the government policy discussion to promote “chemical experimentation” on minors in the schools, to, no doubt, provide a chemical straightjacket for little Johnny in the first row.  He is probably fidgeting because he’d rather be out in the schoolyard blowing off steam rather than inside listening to some boring and meaningless classroom exercise.  You have to wonder about all the mind control drugs we give our children these days that we never heard of a generation ago. Then there was John Dewey, considered the father of modern education and who was an avowed atheist and Socialist.
John Dewey and his colleagues are responsible for deciding that since high literacy was an obstacle to their progressive agenda, the NEA needed to reduce emphasis on reading. Dewey’s agenda has produced absolutely tragic results in American education. He and a few other progressives brought in the system of “social studies.” Naturally, this direction soon edged God out of public school curriculums as Dewey disparaged schooling that focused on traditional character development. It’s no wonder today’s youth have a distorted view of our founders.
Dewey, in one of his famous quotes, said:
There is no God and there is no soul.  Hence, there are no needs for the props of traditional religion.  With dogma and creed excluded, then immutable truth is also dead and buried.  There is no room for fixed, natural law or moral absolutes. Dewey was also a major player in the Humanist movement, which has been using the public school system for almost a century to remove the basic values first laid out by the Puritans that were the basis of the American Revolution

One of the big fights of recent years is in regard to what is called “outcome-based education”, a set of theories that, when instituted, not only exacerbate the many problems already in place but aims to further alter the future of America.  They want to ensure that we will soon be a socialist country.

The ever-changing theories about how to teach reading, a basic skill, stand out as a classic catastrophe that the public schools can take full credit for.  Reading is the key to learning critical thinking, learning history and being constantly exposed to new ideas that expand one’s knowledge about the world around them.   The contrast from being an extremely literate society since colonial times to the sorry level we have today is appalling.  Worse yet, in public school philosophy 101, we now no longer teach history or how our government works, so students, the future voters, have no idea what our country is all about or how our political system works.  It’s no wonder all the screamers on social media rant things that have no relation to reality.
Creating a nation of illiterates has succeeded very well.  John Taylor Gatto, in his book, Weapons of Mass Instruction, provides some startling statistics.  In 1940, the national literacy rate among white people was 96% and 80% among black people.  Six decades later, black illiteracy rate dropped to 40% and 17% among whites.
Even more revealing, is a letter posted in the Minneapolis Star-Tribune in 1995.  (P 11 – Kindle)
In 1995 a student-teacher of fifth graders in Minneapolis wrote a letter to the editor of the Star-Tribune complaining about radically dumbed-down curriculum.  She wrote that 113 years earlier fifth graders in Minneapolis were reading William Shakespeare, Henry Thoreau, George Washington, Sir Walter Scott, Mark Twain, Benjamin Franklin, Oliver Wendell Holmes, John Bunyan, Daniel Webster, Samuel Johnson, Lewis Carroll, Thomas Jefferson, Emerson, and others like them in the “Appleton School Reader”, but that today, I was told children are not to be expected to spell the following words correctly: back, big, call, came, can, day did, dog, down, get good, have, he home, if, in, is, like, little, man, morning, mother, my night, off, out, over, people, play, ran, said, saw, she, some, soon, their, them, time, two, too, up, us, very, water, we, went, where, when, will, would, etc. Is this nuts?
The disrespect for history is personally irksome to me.
The decision to tell students that there is nothing relevant to know about our Founding Fathers because they were slaveholding white men is patently absurd.  To deprive students of the joy of reading the voluminous and brilliant thoughts these great men wrote and the incredibly brave things they did, things that have inspired generations of people all over the world is criminal.
When I began reading the massive research of John Taylor Gatto, considered one of the great teachers and school historians in America, I reflected on my own experiences in both public and private school.  Defacing and removing statues of famous people is now in vogue, with people like Thomas Jefferson a special target. Jefferson, considered one of the leading intellectuals of the Age of Enlightenment, was so well read his extensive library is now part of the Library of Congress.
My own experience trying to learn how to read in the public school was a failure.  My local public school (in the 1950s) had decided to try a new way of teaching reading and by the time I was in the eighth grade, none of us kids could read well.  Those whose parents could afford it sent their kids to the many private schools that were popping up all over to offer remedial reading to a whole generation of us.  I was sent to a private school in the next town and that fall I went to my first political rally.   Malcolm Forbes, publishing giant, was running for governor.  He wanted to rid the public schools of the influence of the teachers’ unions that, as he said, were sending “certified” teachers from teachers’ colleges who knew all about the latest teaching methods but nothing about the subjects they were teaching.  By contrast, Forbes pointed out, private schools were free to hire non-certified teachers who knew their subjects and if they turned out to be lousy teachers, the parents (who paid their salaries) could fire them and get someone else.\
Making America Great Again – One Child at a Time
While the Fake News industry barely covered Trump’s signing his Executive Order, those of us who knew the sorry state of America’s public schools understood the earthquake this EO will cause.  When parents across the country decide to own their power and take control of what is being taught to their children in the public schools, in very short order we could see the end of the noisy and rude rabble in the streets who like to scream and make our lives miserable.  The future of America is at stake and the need to start raising mannerly adults with values and an ability to think critically is long overdue.
Believe it or not, it won’t take money to restructure the curriculum to encourage children to become spectacular adults.  It will take commitment.
Some years ago, I ran across the work of John Taylor Gatto, the teacher I mentioned before, who, after being awarded New York City Teacher of the Year in for several years in a row resigned via an article he wrote on the Editorial Page of the Wall Street Journal condemning the very system that had honored him.  He spent the rest of his life researching and writing detailed accounts about how our school system from Colonial Times became nothing more than a factory to teach children to obey orders and how not to think.
In recent years I ran across his explanation of how the Prussian school system was actually two separate systems.  One is as described above and used as the model we have in place in our compulsory public schools to teach our children how to be zombies.  The other was the one Prussian aristocrats used to train their children on how to be leaders and rulers of their nation.
While my mother was born in America, her parents were Prussian aristocrats who had immigrated to America in 1900. John’s description of the schooling for aristocrats explained why my mother was so critical about how bad my public school was and why, on the first day of attending my private school, I felt I had been let out of a cage and could breathe.  It was that distinct a difference.
The formula for setting up the goals and objectives for turning out a fully-functioning adult who would be fit to lead a nation is very simple.  John explained what he called Elite Boarding School Curriculum.

“Hello, I’m John Gatto. I’d like to share with you the fourteen principles that I discovered that are universal among these schools [elite private boarding schools].  Even though each is quite a different animal than the next, they all concentrate on these fourteen themes.

Theory of Human Nature
“The first of these themes is that no kid should graduate without a theory of human nature; what makes people tick, what buttons do you press to get the results from your fellow man and woman that you want?  And where does the fund of lore come from?  Not from psychology, not even in a small way.  The fund of lore, by human nature, comes from history, philosophy, theology – that’s a curse word isn’t it in public schooling – literature, and law.  These five mighty agencies of human history and the human mind have a wealth of information about what human beings are like now, have been like, and probably always will be like.  And every kid should have a degree of expertise drawn from these sources.  I guess I should say these databases.
Active Literacies
“The second requirement of these schools is that every graduate has a strong experience with the active literacies.  Now we are all familiar with literacy as some exercise in reading.  But, the active literacies are writing and public speaking.  No matter how well developed your mind becomes on strong texts, it’s useless to convince anyone else of your point of view unless you can write well and you can speak well.  I think we’ve come to this juncture in history believing that that’s some God-given gift that only a few people have.  I can guarantee you, as a school teacher for thirty years, that both of those skills are extremely easy to teach.
“To teach public speaking, you simply have to offer regular opportunities to speak before a group of strangers.  That could be a group as small as one, two, or three, or it could be an auditorium of strangers.  But the fact that they are people you feel uncomfortable with I think is essential.  To write well requires nothing more than that you write constantly and regularly, every day preferably.  The improvement will occur quite naturally.  At that point, you might be able to profitably use some expert interventions.  But, in the process of reaching competency, intervention is the worst possible thing; simply the practice of doing it.  So now we have a theory of human nature and skills in the active literacies.
Institutional Forms
“Number three among the curricular themes that unite these elite private boarding schools, is an insight into the major institutional forms:  institutions like our courts or our corporations or our military; including details of the ideas which drive them.  I want to give you one sample of this so you can see how seriously government schools fall short of the mark in offering insights into these institutions.  We have all heard endlessly in schools of separation of powers.  The government of the United States is divided into at least three compartments:  One, an executive compartment;.  One, a legislative compartment that is further divided into two compartments of its own;  finally, a judicial compartment.
“Now a little bit of reflection should show you what the purpose of that is.  Not that we all live in harmony and agree in times of trouble, with what to say and do, but exactly the opposite of that.  The only possible way to arrive at an approximation of truth is through argument.  The more skillfull the argument on all sides will be better for the ultimate resolution of truth.  So that people who appear before you in the media and say in this time of trouble: dissent is not wanted, are truly un-American.  Because this country was the world’s first laboratory of dissent on the part of everybody.  That’s really what the American dream is largely composed of.
Good Manners and Politeness
“The fourth thing that private schools do, or elite private boarding schools do that public schools hardly touch, are the repeated exercises in the forms of good manners and politeness.  Based on the utter truth, politeness and civility are the foundations of all future relationships, all future alliances, and access to places that you may want to go.  Now don’t tell me that that’s just common sense because any public school I’ve ever been in, and I’ve been in hundreds, is the laboratory of rudeness, cruelty, sloppiness, and coarseness.
Independent Work
“The fifth thing that private boarding schools emphasize is independent work.  Think again about the possible reasons for that.  In public schools, as we know them, the teacher is charged with about eighty to ninety percent of filling the time available; one way or another.  And all the choices are the teachers’.  But, in independent private boarding education, that ratio is ideally reversed.
Grace via Physical Sports
“The sixth principle is that energetic physical sports aren’t a luxury or a way to blow off steam, but they’re absolutely the only way to confer grace on the human presence.  And that grace translates into power and into money later on.  Also, sports teach you patience in handling pain and dealing with emergencies which occur regularly in sports.
Access
“The seventh curricular them in elite private boarding schools is a complete theory of access to any workplace or any person.  You’d be better off than reading a civics textbook, to set a kid with the challenge of getting a private meeting with the mayor of Los Angeles and let him work, for a year, on constructing an access to the mayor.  Because that’s how… does that sound fanciful to you?  My kids, from a very ordinary New York public school, got access not only to New York City’s mayor, but to New York State’s governor, and CEO’s beyond count; you can do this too.  Teach your kids how to access places and people that he or she wants or needs.
Responsibility and Leadership
“Number eight is responsibility, as an utterly essential part of the curriculum.  And yes, that includes things like washing dishes.  An elite private boarding school will ask a kid to care for a horse, to take some important community service, to go for leadership in clubs; much easier to get than you think because if the club is actually doing anything, it’s a lot of hard work to be the leader and few people want that.  Always to grab for responsibility when it’s offered and to always deliver more than is asked for.
Code of Standards
“Number nine, and this is a long-range comprehensive thing that needs to be checked regularly, that you don’t ever quite get there.  It’s arrival at a personal code of standards.  Standards in production, standards in behavior, and standards in morality.
Familiarity with the Arts
“Number ten is a familiarity with the master creations in music, in painting, in dance, in sculpture, in design and architecture, and literature, and drama; to be at ease with the arts.  Because apart from religion, the arts are the only way that transcends the animal materiality of our lives… to get in touch with the bigger you.
Observation and Recording
“Number eleven is the power of accurate observation and recording.  I’ll only give you one example of how you think this way, and if you push yourself, you will be able to supply many more power of accurate observation and recording examples.  It used to be an axiom among British upper classes that if you could not draw what you saw with your eye you were in fact not seeing what was there.  So drawing wasn’t a way to kill time, but a way to sharpen the perception.
Dealing with Challenges
“Number twelve was the ability to deal with challenges of all sorts.  This one is my favorite because one person’s challenge is another person’s ho-hum.  To know what will challenge your son or your daughter you have to know your son or daughter very, very well.  If you have a kid who is painfully shy, obviously public presentations are the challenges the kid needs as a corrective, rather than live the rest of their lives. Also, if your child is a coward, that’s a harsh word, but many people are natural cowards–maybe all of us are natural cowards–until we come to see that physical challenges really aren’t so bad.  In addition, if they hurt, they don’t hurt that much.  Teach your kid if he gets knocked down always to stand back up.  If he gets knocked down again, to always stand back up again.  That would be a challenge.
Reasoning
“Number thirteen, we’re coming to the end of the curricular list, is a habit of caution in reasoning to conclusions.  Should Iraq be invaded by the most technologically sophisticated military in the history of the planet and should hundreds of billions of dollars be allotted to that purpose?  Well, maybe it should and maybe it shouldn’t.  But listening to a few government propaganda hours about the similarities between the leader of Iraq and Adolf Hitler is not the way to come to the conclusion, even though it’s the way eighty or ninety percent of us do.
Testing and Judgment
“And finally, it’s the constant development and testing of judgment.  You make judgments and discriminate value and then you follow up; you keep an eye on your predictions to see how far skewed from what actually occurs… or how consistent with what transpires things are.
“I’m John Taylor Gatto, and this is what you’ve been missing.”

Even if you hate Trump, please understand how by giving us the right to decide what our children learn in government-run schools, he has given us the most powerful weapon we could have to restore the values that made our country great in the first place.
It’s been over a century of schools run with a Marxist agenda to manipulate and control the minds of future generations that is the heart of our culture crisis. Seeing children with bad manners scream and sometimes use violence to silence anyone who thinks differently is a desired result.  Chaos in the streets and a mob that is easily manipulated by constant hate-filled “news” from “official” sources and social networks are exactly what Marxist manipulators can use to destroy our political system as we know it.   You might want to send President Trump a thank you note so he knows you “get it” and appreciate that he gave you a major tool to restore order.
Get a group of like-minded people together and start working with school officials to see where to begin turning the curriculum into what the leaders of society both here and abroad provide for their children.  Remember it is not about spending a lot of money.  It’s about knowing what you want for your children.  You might check with parents who have already pulled their kids out of public school to see what teaching materials they use.  Homeschoolers have very interesting teaching tools and some of the private schools have interesting ideas on how to build character and think creatively.
Just remember, President Trump knew that if he removed the authority of the federal government to control local public school curricula, alert parents and others could figure out for themselves how to get the Marxist manipulators out of the system.
We need a concerted effort to rescue all the kids currently there and make sure future generations can think and act like fully-functioning adults.  Then we will have Made America Great Again!

There was Bernie Sanders at a Fox News Channel town hall, not giving an inch in a forum every Democratic presidential candidate has shunned.
His reward was a cataract of good reviews and monster ratings. Sanders had a solid hour to try to reach people not favorably inclined to his worldview, at the very least demonstrating that he’s willing to show up outside his political silo.
Why hadn’t any of the other Democrats done it before? Because they lacked the verve and ideological self-confidence of Sanders, as well as the independent streak to buck the Democratic party’s attempt to hold the line against Fox. As a message candidate, Sanders is willing to take his anywhere.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi, miraculously transformed into a relatively moderate Democratic elder stateswoman, has understandably been pushing back against the notion that she leads a socialist party defined by a few radicals in the House.
On 60 Minutes, she stalwartly declared: “I do reject socialism as an economic system. If people have that view, that’s their view. That is not the view of the Democratic party.” She dismissed the left wing in her caucus as “like, five people.”
In sheer numbers this is true, but it’s the wrong way to count.
The fact is that the most compelling stars of the party are self-declared socialists with a knack for generating controversy and media attention, and with committed mass followings. Pelosi might wish it weren’t true, but poll numbers, fundraising, and follower counts don’t lie.
Sanders is reliably second — sometimes first — in national and state presidential polling. He’s outraised everyone else in the field and, with his massive small-donor base, probably can continue to do so for the duration. More than anyone else, he has defined the Democratic party’s current agenda.
It’ll be much harder to maintain that the Democratic party isn’t socialist if it nominates one as its presidential candidate, which everyone paying attention realizes is a real possibility.
If this happens, it won’t be the work of conservatives hoping to negatively brand the Democrats, but of the party’s faithful. The same goes for the prominence of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. It is often said that conservatives are “obsessed” with her; maybe so, but the same is true — and probably more so — of everyone else.
AOC has been on the cover of Time magazine, Rolling Stone (with Nancy Pelosi, as it happens), Hollywood Reporter, and Bloomberg Businessweek. Annie Leibovitz photographed her for Vogue. She’s been interviewed by 60 Minutes.
She has nearly 4 million Twitter followers and more than 3 million followers on Instagram, where she feeds the insatiable obsession of her fans — not her critics — with videos from her apartment.
She was among the top 10 House Democrats in fundraising the first quarter and had the highest percentage of small donors (her ally, Ilhan Omar, also excelled).
It’s obviously vexing to Pelosi to see a House majority built by the careful avoidance of ideological extravagance and won in marginal districts hijacked, at least in terms of public attention, by a few freshmen and a 77-year-old Vermont socialist.
They might not define the center of gravity of the party at the moment, and the radical freshmen have lost most of their tussles with Pelosi. But there is a reason that they are so famous, with such fundraising prowess. The crusading purity of Bernie Sanders has an inherent appeal, and the outrageousness of the freshmen attracts attention, which always begets more attention.
Yes, there are vast numbers of Democrats out there who aren’t on Twitter or Instagram. Maybe there are enough of them to nominate Joe Biden, or a Pete Buttigieg can win on a progressive platform clothed in a moderate demeanor.
But the party’s stars will have something to say about it. The great Zionist Theodor Herzl maintained, “It is the simple and fantastic which leads men.” As Bernie Sanders showed, it’s also willing to go on Fox News.

This one is a little different … Two Different Versions … Two Different Morals
OLD VERSION
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.
The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE OLD STORY:
Be responsible for yourself!
MODERN VERSION
The ant works hard in the withering heat and the rain all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving.
CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. America is stunned by the sharp contrast.
How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?
Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper and everybody cries when they sing, “It’s Not Easy Being Green”
Occupy the Anthill stages a demonstration in front of the ant’s house where the news stations film the Black Lives Matter group singing, “We shall overcome.”
Then, Reverend Al Sharpton, has the group kneel down to pray for the grasshopper while he damns the ants. He later appears on MSNBC to complain that rich people do not care.
Former President Obama condemns the ant and blames Donald Trump, President Bush 43, President Bush 41, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the Pope for the grasshopper’s plight.
Nancy Pelosi & Chuck Schumer exclaim in an interview on The View that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.
Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.
The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having; nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar and given to the grasshopper
The story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant’s food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant’s old house, crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn’t maintain it.
The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.
The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous and peaceful, neighborhood.
The entire Nation collapses bringing the rest of the free world with it.

MORAL OF THE STORY:

Be careful how you vote in 2020.

The Only Game Democrats Play

People hoping to become the Democrat nominee for president in 2020 have recently floated suggestions for dismantling both the Electoral College and the Supreme Court as we know it. These ideas are in addition to the urgency with which many of them also tell the rest of us to be both deeply suspicious of parenthood and greener than Kermit the Frog, in the vain hope that those things might help to forestall climate change.
But if progressive policies are as self-evidently worth pursuing as leftists assume they are, then why do those same people keep moving the political goalposts? Why, for example, did the Speaker of the House endorse a proposal to lower the federal voting age to 16? It’s as though the only game in town were Calvinball, minus the innocence of the original version. Calvin, you might remember, was not above cheating (hence “Calvinball,” whose only rule was that there were no rules). That wildly imaginative six-year-old refused to build snowmen in traditional ways, but neither he nor his indulgent tiger ever waged war against the dead, as leftists are now doing.
That might sound like hyperbole to anyone who hasn’t seen Democrats trying to erase their own past by toppling statues of Confederate soldiers. The activists pushing for changes like that don’t seem to realize that when Confederate statues are gone, monuments to the valor of Union soldiers will have no meaning, either.
Being “woke” is an essentially reactive stance, because it has to contrast with something asleep or unexamined. But speech cops on the left (and they’re all on the left) don’t understand or care about that. Consequently, Civil War battlefields are being leached of the formative influence proper to them. We’re losing our collective memory of American history, and (in the hotbeds of progressive iconoclasm) ultimately mocking Lincoln’s resolve that “these dead shall not have died in vain.”
Leftists treat history as a tool for the acquisition of power. Anything that can’t be ignored or subverted gets reframed, which is why I don’t think freshman Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or failed Senate candidate Robert Francis O’Rourke are as clueless as they appear to be. “Beto” and “AOC” know what their supporters want to hear. When AOC threatens the moderates in her own party but says perkily that “democratic socialism” simply means “putting democracy and society first,” or Beto preaches doom from the “coffee shop at the end of the world,” each is appealing to mal-educated people who mistake youthful ignorance for courage. In a different world, those particular politicians would be vying for election as homecoming king and queen. Instead, they want to be commissars.

Had the 2016 presidential election turned out differently, we would not now be hearing about problems with the Electoral College, or listening to activists pine righteously for “democracy” in what was built as a republic. Anyone who wants to lecture the rest of us on proper governance ought first to understand introductory phrases in the Pledge of Allegiance.
NBC News describes the progressive strategy for 2020 as an attempt to change the rules. That ideology’s notion of being bravely different never makes room for traditionalists, but now holds sway even in things like the dress code for the U.S. House of Representatives.
Despite the argument that outdated systems and social mores need to change, it’s hard to see progressive motivation as anything more than an alloy of hypocrisy and opportunism, because they move goalposts even when there’s no compelling reason to do so. Events in New York and Virginia reminded us that Democrats unwilling to let the evil of late-term abortion alone pushed past that into providing legal cover for infanticide, while casting themselves as merciful because letting babies die saves the cost of neonatal intensive care.
Less contentious issues show a similar pattern. Hillary Clinton, for example, has yet to be prosecuted for feigned ignorance (Q: Did you wipe your email server? A: “You mean like with a cloth?”), gross negligence, or felonious conduct. Meanwhile, Trumpian exaggeration draws swift condemnation from all quarters, the First Lady isn’t regarded as being multi-lingual or photogenic enough to avoid being snubbed by people who wet themselves over her immediate predecessor, and self-proclaimed bastions of free inquiry in North America and Europe are nothing of the kind.

Two years into a presidency that has done more to expose progressive insecurities than any other, it’s also safe to say that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian efforts to sway America’s 2016 election started with bad motive and wide latitude. That it ended up vindicating President Trump is almost beside the point. Outcome aside, the investigation’s dominance of the news cycle was exactly what the Beltway Establishment had hoped it would be, if for no other reason than because so many politicians despise (and feel threatened by) the brash populist in the White House.
“March Madness” for progressives is no different from the crazy that they pretend to save the rest of us from in every other month. If your objections to that can be painted as logical, historical, patriarchal, privileged, racist, or cis-gendered, then you are easily marginalized. The only proper response to the way progressives have weaponized grievance and guilt is to refuse to play along.
In gentler moods, we might also remember that Calvin and Hobbes did not end its ten-year run atop the comics page with a game of Calvinball. Instead, on December 31, 1995, Bill Watterson’s beloved creations signed off from a sled in the snow with an appreciative nod to the wonders of the world around them, as Calvin, with his triangular grin, said “It’s a magical world, Hobbes, Ol’ Buddy…Let’s Go Exploring!”

Battle Against Leftist Indoctrination in Public Schools Continues in Maine

Maine state representative Lawrence Lockman isn’t backing down after a committee in the state legislature killed his proposed bill that would have forbidden political and ideological indoctrination in the public schools of the Pine Tree State.
Leftist indoctrination in the classroom “is a violation of the civil rights of the students,” Lockman told FrontPage. Politically correct identity-group politics is now the norm in Maine’s classrooms, he said. (FrontPage published an op-ed by Lockman on March 5.)
“Realtors, architects, dental hygienists, have a code of ethics,” he said. “Why not teachers?”

Teachers were wrong to get involved in and bring students to a previous demonstration to lobby for the passage of legislation restricting firearms, Lockman said.
“It’s outrageous that teachers are taking sides on a legislative issue.”
“The kids were used,” he said. “They were pawns. They were dupes.”
“If the gun owners of Maine were having a demonstration or a rally to press for pro-firearms legislation I would just as strongly have opposed teachers getting involved in that.”
Lockman said his 501(c)(4) nonprofit, the Maine First Project, is moving forward with a “forgotten parents’ initiative” to get parents involved at the local level.
Lockman’s comments came after his fellow Republican lawmakers abandoned him and allowed his bill, known as LD 589, to die in committee. The measure, which the David Horowitz Freedom Center helped to draft, was unanimously voted down by the joint House-Senate Education and Cultural Affairs Committee Feb. 28. Not surprisingly, the teachers’ unions and the ACLU opposed the bill.
The legislation would have required the State Board of Education to “adopt rules prohibiting teachers in public schools from engaging in political, ideological or religious advocacy in the classroom.” Those rules “must be clear and provide enforcement mechanisms for appropriate and professional ethical behavior by teachers licensed in the State in tax-supported schools.”
While on the job public school teachers would have been forbidden from endorsing, supporting or opposing: any candidate or nominee for public office; any pending, proposed, or enacted legislation; and any pending, proposed, or executed executive action by an executive or executive branch agency at the local, state, or federal level.
Teachers would also have been barred from “[a]dvocating in a partisan manner for any side of a controversial issue,” and from taking a stand on any pending, proposed, or decided court case and from introducing any controversial subject matter not germane to the course being taught. They also would have been forbidden to endorse, support, or engage in any activity that hampers or impedes the lawful access of a military recruiter to the school campus or that hampers or impedes the actions of local, state, or federal law enforcement.
“Segregating students according to race or singling out one racial group of students as responsible for the suffering or inequities experienced by another racial group of students,” would also have been prohibited.
Republican lawmakers on the committee joined Democrats to brush aside Lockman’s concerns about the ongoing leftist indoctrination of Maine students.
Rep. Gary Drinkwater (R) said the bill “goes against the core belief” that this issue should be “handled by [local school] administration,” the Bangor Daily News reported.
“It’s not a major issue. It’s a small issue that happens, and it’s not to be tolerated,” Drinkwater said. “We want controversial issues brought up in the classroom — that’s a good place for it to be discussed. We just don’t want one-sided philosophy taught.”
Drinkwater said everyone agreed the way to proceed “is not with legislation.”
This “local control” argument that Republicans on the committee hid behind was a complete cop-out, according to Lockman. It amounts to Republican lawmakers saying they don’t care about the civil rights of students and that ethics are optional for teachers in Maine.
The state government already bears most of the cost of K-12 public education and imposes mandates on local governments and school districts “all the time,” he said.
The testimony of parent Cathy Nichols, who co-chairs the Falmouth Town Republican Committee in Cumberland County, Maine, fell on deaf ears.
When the bill was scuttled by the committee, “I was stunned,” Nichols told FrontPage.
“I couldn’t understand how they could ignore such raw verbatim testimony.”
Children “have very malleable minds” and some children “are being victimized” in the classroom, she said.
In her testimony before the committee, Nichols said students who expressed non-leftist opinions were marginalized, and in some cases, punished.
One parent told her that at a school in Portland “students who chose not to participate in the [March 2018 pro-gun control] walk out were required to remain in the library with no books and no computers, a virtual detention.”
One girl was told to remove her pro-Trump MAGA (“Make America Great Again”) hat while her classmates wore the pink pussy-hats popularized by the Women’s March. Another said her political science class was completely one-sided, teaching about Democrats without discussing Republicans.
A 7th grade female attended a “Girls Rock” event supported by a school. The girls were given tee shirts bearing the word “feminism” and were asked to draw the shape of a vagina on paper and pin it to the shirt. Later the girls were taught that anal sex, same-sex sex, and not shaving body parts was acceptable. Many parents were horrified when their daughters recounted the experience, Nichols said.
The father of another 7th grader complained about the radical bent of social studies homework. The student was asked to research a website called We The Future which describes only leftist causes including Black Lives Matter, the Women’s March, gun control, and open borders. Students were encouraged by their teacher to become politically active on behalf of these radical causes.
A boy was asked to write an essay about the border wall promised by President Trump. He complied and received a failing grade when he supported Trump’s position.
“There is an inherent bias in our school system towards a liberal interpretation at the exclusion of any kind of conservative opinion,” Nichols said in her testimony.
“This bias fosters intolerance of different beliefs and this is not the kind of education we deserve. Please teach our children how to think, not what to think.”
“These students, our children, who did not go along with the ‘groupthink’ were shamed not only by certain other students, but, more distressingly, by teachers. They were punished not for anything they did, but for beliefs they hold.”
FrontPage readers are painfully aware that the Left has long been attempting to radicalize students and encourage them to become activists obsessed with the Marxist holy trinity of race, sex, and class.
With help from extreme-left hate groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center and California’s Just Communities Central Coast, and other radical activists trying to impose unwanted social change on the country, public school teachers across America already saturate students with information about racial injustice in America in a nonstop barrage of historic facts and ahistorical nonsense. And in the culture at large, the media, politicians, and the entertainment industry can’t stop talking about race.
In Pedagogy of the Oppressed, Marxist theorist Paulo Freire urged that schools be used to inculcate radical values in students to transform them into agents of social change. Freire argued that the so-called dominant pedagogy “silences” poor and minority children and that there is no such thing as a neutral educational system.
Joining Freire in his desire to use the educational system to level institutions is unrepentant communist terrorist and education theorist Bill Ayers, a close associate of Barack Obama who has long advocated corrupting the young so they can agitate to fundamentally transform American society.
“If we want change to come, we would do well not to look at the sites of power we have no access to; the White House, the Congress, the Pentagon,” he said in 2012. “We have absolute access to the community, the school, the neighborhood, the street, the classroom, the workplace, the shop, the farm.”
Fortunately, there are still people like Lockman and Nichols who are willing to fight back against the radical indoctrination of young, impressionable students, even if it means taking on fellow Republicans.
As Lockman wrote in his op-ed:
I suppose that when you’re always tucked into a defensive crouch, and want to be well thought of by the Democrats and the Fake News media, you would have good reason to be scared of losing your next election campaign if you voted against the wishes of the ACLU and the union bosses.
But what if our side played offense for a change?
What if we hammered the union bosses for all they have done to wreck public education and indoctrinate our kids? What if we went to bat on behalf of parents and students who are being cheated by the rigged system?
What would happen if we decided to fight fire with fire?
We’ll never know until we try.

Socialism, the resurgence of socialism in my studied opinion is not actually a resurgence, but inadvertently exposed during the 2016 and the 2018 political campaigns. What happened with some of the comments during the Clinton – Sanders primary DNC presidential campaign, both mentioned some of the socialist utopias. Bernie more than Hillary because he wears his socialism like a fine hat, Hillary on the other hand, was more clandestine in her socialist ambitions, playing so because of Obama’s blatant display of total disregard for the Nation, the Constitution, and the people. His total ambition to divide and conquer our nation in the name of the North American Socialist Union which he would then control and work his way to the UN Secretary General in his blind ambition to rule the world, as the Global Socialist Union.
That was not the idea of the Muslim from Kenya before he made the splashes in Chicago politics with ACORN and George Soros, Bill Ayers (the theoretician of Marxism as he led the Weather Underground). It was Bill Ayers that implemented the Saul Alinsky ideologies into the ACORN group, and socialism was well into its resurgence then.
Now we have socialists coming out of the woodwork which has been called Democratic Socialists. Several socialist groups already exist in the United States and have done so for decades. They have grown steadily developing their ideologies, and of course, the MSM have their agenda to help even when lies suit them and their purpose better than the truth. Problem with socialism and that is for conservative and Christian authors, bloggers and all conservative communications. Liberal-socialists and Republican establishment politicians will control the content … even in our books. So, if you have a book ready, you had better get your agent and get them busy with selling your book to the right publisher.
I listen to several sermons on Sunday, I have a couple of preachers that I like as their messages always apply to life, our lives as we have to live it in these turbulent times of chaos in our nation. Our nation that was founded on Christian principals as most of the founders were Christian of a few sects who settled in their own Boroughs in most part, but there were other sects and non-Christians there as well, just in a large minority, and thus the infamous Jefferson letter about a wall between government and religion, it was initiated by the Danbury Baptist Church’s concern that being a minority in his state of Connecticut that they would be run out, or politically persecuted. Jefferson’s letter simply was to state that the federal government could not step in and that they could not establish or disestablish any religion. However, since the ’60s the Atheists have created major damage to the Christian faith in the United States, using Justice Black’s opinion on Church and State, and the Socialist group the ACLU.
Fact is, the United States was founded as a Christian Nation our Constitution and its Preamble reflect it. Our laws, ethics, integrity, morals, reflected throughout the history of our nation. It is not any wonder that it is my studied opinion that this nation was given as a safe haven for Christ’s Protestant church. Not always doing the right thing, but then the church is the people and Christian or not, people don’t do the right thing most of the time. As a nation, we should have been learning by our mistakes and as the church, we should have been learning from our mistakes. But evil pride and the nature of man has only splintered the nation and broken the church.
Meanwhile, socialism has been able to move ahead through the aid of liberalism, liberal theology, social justice, and our worthless liberal congress. I know some of the representatives and Senators are fine people with some integrity and values, however, we still have a majority of the citizens and the church that still hold on to the value that makes this the greatest nation on earth.
Yes, I am a Trump supporter and glad that I am, although I have my doubts that he will be able to complete what we made him promise to middle America. Some he has kept even with all the obstruction from the Shadow Government (the Swamp and Deep State), and he wanted to get things done bi-partisan but that should have never even been considered from day one. He began by changing his demeanor to be more presidential and with class, except with his war against fake news, and that war just might cost him reelection in 2020, because, the “never Trump” socialists and RINOs have joined with the press to bring him down. But in the long run, he has just kept on keeping on, like the little pink bunny.
Unfortunately, like the little pink bunny, the socialists just keep on going, beating their drums of resistance and Argumentum Ad Infinitum cycling from one fake issue to another. Well perhaps fake is too strong of a word if we are looking at the big picture because some of what they claim is based on a half-truth, no truth, and totally manufactured lies with no link to reality at all. And that is what the mainstream media find their material to run with. It is the reason that we hear what they say and calls it and them stupid.
Stupid like a fox as long as they can get their lies passed among the conservative on social media it actually becomes a weapon against us. It becomes Ad Nauseam and if we continue to respond beyond the first comment and share on social media, we are playing their game and doing the propaganda for them. It is what Trump did during the campaign he picked a big fight with them and then would make totally out of context comments focusing perceived truth, and the outrage would spread like wildfire fueled on gasoline. The Socialists are doing the same thing with us and it keeps on going and going and going and going, … we are their best propagandists.
Since President Trump called the socialists out during the State of the Union address, because a half dozen of them have been recently elected and several socialists have elected to seek the office of the President in 2020, so now that the old DNC has been exposed as mostly socialists and some even communists who have been purposing the Obama agenda in making the US into the North American Union (North American Socialist Union). But by pointing out the Socialists that have come out of the closet, he uncovered the whole stinking mess and the rest are in denial, sort of.
May God have mercy toward our nation, may God have mercy on us, his children. I look for more socialist confrontation not only against the President and Vice President, but conservative Congressmen/women will be in the crosshairs along with the rest of us. I pray that God will intercede on the behalf of our nation and of His church. Amen, amen and the peace of God be with us all.
Socialism in our nation has been like the little choo-choo chugging along and it came to a steep mountain, and down in its little puffer-belly it didn’t think it could, but it had to try even in the face of certain failure. The little puffer-belly started to say … “I think I can – I think I can – I think I can, I believe I can – I believe I can – I believe I can, I know I can – I know I can – I know I can…” and he did, he made it over the mountain. Well socialism has made it over the mountain, slowly over decades, but it made it over, and with George HW Bush’s allegiance to the UN and aligning his agenda with their agenda, that little puffer-belly of socialism started to have a problem with the downgrade, Clinton tried to control the momentum of the downhill plunge, George W Bush lost the brakes, and Obama put more fuel to it until it went totally out of control bringing chaotic division amongst the people.
Socialism took over the Democratic Party back in the day of Franklin D. Roosevelt and his “New Deal” and the UN Charter. Now that Hillary didn’t make it to the Whitehouse to continue on where Obama left off, we have them squealing like a stuck hog, because Trump is doing what Obama did to the conservative, only with more provocation when he went on National TV and said how he was being opposed in Congress “I have a telephone and a pen” telling the nation he could do what he wanted, and that was the power of his office. That is what he did. And was unopposed by the socialist (liberals) in Washington.
He would not have even been elected the first go around if a real conservative would have run against him, but he had the good fortune to run against another socialist McCain, at the least a RINO, who was trying to make the Republican Party into a “New Republican Party” (progressive globalism) and the opposite of conservatism. Then along came Mitt, who had it won even without trying, that is until their last debate and RINO (globalist) Mitt gave Obama the win, with simple ridicule over naval ships. An unexpected ploy in a valid point that Obama switched to ridicule old Mitt, and like it was almost a preplanned game, he manufactured a feeble grin and a stammered “I am aware of that”… and went on a very defensive and elusive argument, loosing not only the debate but his whole campaign, a campaign that now seems to have been a farce and manufactured failure from the start.
It would be my studied opinion if I would give it much thought if any, it would just enhance my loathing for Romney he sold the election to the socialists, allowing the Obama to try to finish what he started in 09; “To fundamentally change our nation.” and he almost, yes, he ALMOST. Succeeded, but, as they say, “Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.” Thank the ever-merciful God for not allowing Clinton or Obama, to continue during a time of chaos on every front, which was all manufactured and fast-tracked by Obama, Soros, The UN, Clinton, and the socialist in the shadow government and in Congress, including the RINOs who nearly destroyed the conservative Republican party.
Without God’s intervention … well, I will leave you to guess. I will leave you to read my book when it is published (I hope soon – just have to find an Agent) … but you can start doing your own research, starting with FDR’s New Deal, the UN Charter, and all the social programs he used the power of the “phone and pen” executive power to put into effect. Why? to nudge the people who were coming out of the great depression to rely on government, even for work and retirement With programs like the Social Security Act, (Congress) WPA, Welfare for families with children, which added more agencies, and expanded the power of the federal government over the people, FDR’s New Deal targeted the most vulnerable citizens and made them more dependent and trapped by that dependency on the federal government.
Socialism then has been a force to be reckoned with and although from time to time it has been focus of various political activist groups to expose the socialism and communism, and the left who wore the crown of liberalism as some sort of great badge for liberating the masses from capitalism and conservatism who had been morphing into socialism since the 1800s and a shift of speed with FDR. Now we have full-blown running the Shadow Government and the socialist/globalists which is the greater part of Congress. We have the Liberalist church eating away at the biggest threat to the socialist/globalist (equates into what we have been calling liberal for decades). But they are all Communist without total Marxism … yet
They all suffer from Christian phobia (We may call it Christianophobic) real Christianity brings terror to their inner soul. I read some interesting stuff in an opinion by Consumer Advocate Tim Bolen, it was a humorous piece of a real serious nature. It was about the way the Democratic Party “Name-Calling” or the way to use “ridicule” according to Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals handbook. Thus, they ridicule by phobias the first to use phobias in “name calling” and using big words in arguments some of which they don’t even know the meaning, some have no meaning but have been manufactured by the MSM and the activist pick it up on the morning broadcast and use it in their confrontations with Conservatives and Christians.
In his article, he recommended the same by hitting them with words like sesquipedalian (google it) but when they start with their big words just say that word, roll your eyes, and walk away. Let them suffer from patriot-phobia.

Booker was given a pass by the Senate Ethics Committee

The Senate Ethics Committee has been a JOKE for the last decade or more. While those in the House have been busy more often than not investigating Republicans in the last year, the Senate Ethics committee has not done even one single investigation period. The last news releases they did involve Al Franken and Robert Menendez in December 2017. Before that nothing as far back as 2012.
So what happened when Judicial Watch and others requested they look into the dirty methods Cory Booker used during the Kavanaugh hearing debacle. Zilch nothing to see here…move on is their comments!
Judicial Watch just issued a press release decrying the absolute uselessness of this committee. The U.S. Senate Select Committee on Ethics has refused to take action against Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), who admitted to willfully violating Senate rules by releasing confidential records regarding then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s time as a White House counsel.
The letter was signed by Deborah Sue Mayer, Chief Counsel and Staff Director. Ms. Mayer personally advises Members of the Committee and Senate, and oversees the non-partisan staff in providing ethics advice and education, administering the Senate’s financial disclosure program, and conducting investigations and enforcement of ethics rules, laws and standards of conduct.
Prior to her work in the Senate, from July 2011 through January 2015, Ms. Mayer served as the Director of Investigations for the House Ethics Committee, overseeing all of the Committee’s investigations into Members of Congress or their staff.
The Senate Ethics Committee is evenly split, with three Republicans and three Democrats. The Committee members are Johnny Isakson (R-GA), Christopher A. Coons (D-DE), Pat Roberts (R-KS), Brian Schatz (D-HI), James Risch (R-ID), and Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH).
According to their website, there are six staff counselors, five staff assistants, and two other administrative members listed. Yet not one real ethics decision has been entertained or been sent for consideration. How is that for use of taxpayer money!
Not one whisper out of the committee on how Feinstein withheld information from her own Senate party members or how Elizabeth Warren got away with her efforts set up the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau without a full board membership or oversight by Congress.

Not one word on Senator Flake and his political malfeasance. Not one word on the abuse Democrat senators heaped on Kavanaugh nor their efforts to solicit “any or all” who might have thirty-year-old angst against a man who had already gone through six separate FBI investigations.
The JW press release listed why they thought the Ethics committee should investigate Cory Booker.
Sen. Booker admitted breaking Senate rules when he issued a tweet on Friday, September 7 saying:
Weds—I broke committee rules by reading from “Committee confidential” docs.
Also, Sen. Booker then posted the following entry on his Facebook account on Sunday, September 9:
And the classification of many documents as “Committee confidential” is a sham… I willfully violate these sham rules. I fully accept any consequences that might arise from my actions including expulsion.
Judicial Watch noted in its complaint that Sen. Booker also uploaded “Committee confidential” records to a publicly accessible Dropbox account with the heading “Booker Confidential – Kavanaugh Hearing Documents”.
By violating the rules in releasing Committee confidential records, Sen. Booker appeared to have violated provisions 5 and/or 6 of Rule 29 of the Standing Rules of the Senate (Rev. Jan. 24, 2013), which stipulate that he should be subject to expulsion from the Senate…
“It is an absolute disgrace that the Senate Ethics Committee is giving Senator Booker a pass for willfully violating Senate rules by leaking confidential information to smear Justice Kavanaugh,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The Senate continues the abuse of Kavanaugh and his family by refusing to act against a Senator who, pretending to be Spartacus, violated the rule of law and our Constitution in trying to destroy him.”
Tom Fitton is absolutely right. If the committee members and the staff cannot seem to get any real ethics investigations done, then disband the committee or go outside the Senate to be responsible a respected constitutionalist retired Federal judge.
A group made of up of senators policing their own is ridiculous. The same applies to the House Ethics committee which is heavy on investigating Republicans right now but does appear to actually be working and taking complaints seriously.
